Safety Library – Toolbox Talks

Run by the supervisor, "Toolbox Talks" is a brief safety talk or discussion about a specific subject at the beginning of the shift. These talks are typically a brief (5-10 minute) interactive discussion meeting – they are short and to the point! The frequency of meetings will depend on the size, nature and location of the site. However, these tools can be used daily to promote your departments' safety culture.

Holding "Toolbox Talks" is an excellent way of increasing safety involvement and awareness among your team. It is an ideal way to get employees involved in matters relating to their own safety, finding solutions to problems, as well as building a committed and productive team.
